Folic acid is a man made form of folate which is Vitamin B9. Both folate and folic acid has the same benefits, which is to help the body create new cells. Bifidobacterium which can be found in probiotics is one of the significant beneficial bacteria in the human gut microbiota that is beneficial in regulating folate production. Bifidobacterium produces B vitamins such as folic acid which helps to absorb nutrients.
